Headline: Asteroid Passes Just 8700 Miles from Earth - with Only 15 Hours Warning



"Although no one noticed at the time, the Earth was almost hit by an asteroid last Friday." reports the Daily Mail in the UK.

Although objects of this size are no risk to civilization - it would be dishonest of me to say this event isn't unnerving to say the least.
