Comet's dramatic death dive into the sun

There's been a good deal of chatter lately about a possible object be-it a planetary body or brown star that could be manipulating comets and changing their trajectories. Recently a comet crashed right into the sun and it was caught on video!

Not to long after the Shoemaker-Levy comet crashed into Jupiter we get to see a comet fly directly into the sun. This is the second direct hit I have seen in just a few years. This has me thinking about how common these events must ultimately be.
