Do we inhabit a binary star system?

You may have heard the names, 'Nemisis', 'Nibiru' or 'Planet X' tossed around the past few years in regards to our sun being a part of a binary system. So, is there any validity to this claim? Well it seems the scientific community is quite torn over this one...

Recently I read an article in space.com that seems to indicate that there might be a solar partner to our sun. The implications of this could be staggering if it is true...but is it? I don't know, and apparently neither does space.com:
